Katies Cottage is situated in an idyllic location on the sea front of
the picturesque seaside village of Ballyvaughan. It overlooks Galway
bay to the front with the stunning Cappanwalla Mountain to the rear. A
5 minute walk along the sea front brings you to all the shops,
restaurants and pubs in the village.
This is an ideal location, as a touring base, for exploringthe
magnificent Burren landscape or visiting the many famous tourist
attractions in the area such as the Cliffs of Moher, Aillwee Caves,
Doolin and the Aran Islands.
The village is also growing in popularity as the focal point for such
renowned walking tours as the 'Burren Way'. Other guided walking tours
through the Burren region, to suit all tastes, are also available. The
latest addition to amenities in the area is the Burren Dive and
Watersports Centre in the village which caters for all lovers of the
sea.
The cottage itself consists of two double bedrooms and a loft room upstairs which contains two single beds. The living area, which is full of character and old world charm, has a flag floor and open fire place with hobs. A separate kitchen and dining area off the living area is well serviced with all modern conveniences including washing machine and microwave.
All in all Katies Cottage is a cosy and comfortable corner to relax and enjoy the unique landscape that the area has to offer.
